IN2FOOD Guest Lecture: Consumer-citizens leading the change in food waste reduction

IN2FOOD is launching the last activity of the guest lecture series. The current guest lecture program will be delivered by Malla Mattila, Ph.D and Nina Mesiranta, Ph.D.

Malla Mattila, Ph.D. works as academic director and University Lecturer in the Master’s Degree Programme in Leadership for Change and Nina Mesiranta, Ph.D. is Senior Research Fellow at the Faculty of Management and Business, Tampere University, Finland. Both are also founding members of the “Wastebusters” research group which focuses on food waste reduction and circular economy.

The guest lecture will focus on the various ways consumers and consumer-citizens can lead the change towards a society with zero food waste. The lecture provides both theoretical perspectives and practical examples of consumer-citizenship, and discusses food waste campaigns and their design.
