It is an honor for BINUS University, especially the Department of Food Technology, to be visited from a distinguished guest from BAN-PT (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi), Prof. Dr. Ir. Imas Siti Setiasih from Padjajaran University and Dr. Ir. Nurheni Sri Palupi, MSi from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) on June 6-7, 2018. This visit is aimed to asses the academic quality of Food Technology Department which was established in 2014.

On Wednesday June 6, accreditation was conducted at 13.00 starting with welcome speech and opening by Vice Rector Academic Development & Provost and followed with assesment of Engineering Faculty Forms. Furthermore, some academic facilities were also visited by asessor including Food Tech Labs, computer Lab, classroom, library and knowledge center, and some academic centers. That agenda end at 17.30 followed with the breaking the fast (ifthar) together with Vice Rector Academic Development & Provost, Iman Herwidiana Kartowisastro, Ph.D, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ir. John Fredy Bobby Saragih, M.Si, Head of Food Technology Department, Ir. Ingrid S. Surono, MSc, PhD and other staffs of BINUS University.

On Thursday June 7, assesment process is continued starting at 08.00 at meeting room 3rd floor, Alam Sutera Campus. On this second day of assesment, reviewers have a discusion with Head and Deputy of Food Technology regarding the academic implementation of this study program. Furthermore, they have also interview several students and faculty member representatives. All assesments are expected to be finished at 17.00 and followed with the breaking the fast (ifthar).

We expect that Foodtech could always implement the continuous improvement on the academic quality by conducting some input suggestions from the BAN-PT asessors. And also, We sincerely hope that Prof. Dr. Ir. Imas Siti Setiasih and Dr. Ir. Nurheni Sri Palupi, MSi will be an enjoyable during this visit.
